Swedish Tourism Award is an annual award for "actors who have contributed in a innovative and innovative way to the development of the hospitality industry". This year Region Uppsala nominated Fjärdhundraland for the prize with the motivation:
A visit to Fjärdhundraland leads you along winding small roads between cafes, farm shops and smaller dwellings, where runes of stone and medieval churches line the road. Here you get to meet the producers who have grown the food and in a genuine way experience a vibrant Swedish countryside. By gathering more than a hundred actors, you show the strength of collaboration, where differences enrich and form an attractive overall experience of what is small-scale down-to-earth and genuine.
We are very honored by the nomination and thank you for the trust, not least because the Grand Tourism Prize is judged on criteria we think are very good - we believe in building real, own knowledge through openness and innovation.
