Day trip in Fjärdhundraland.
Guided tour of Enköping's parks. The tour goes through some of the many parks and the guide talks about plants, design and the characteristics of the different locations. The tour ends in Drömparken, created by Piet Oudolf, a world-famous gardener known for his spectacular compositions of tall and colorful perennials.
Lunch is eaten outdoors in Drömparken at the Happy Foodtruck, which serves organic burgers with all the goodies that go with them, made from local ingredients. Alternatively, there is a vegetarian burger and an Asian salad. Drinks and coffee are included.
After lunch, we head out into the countryside towards Ekolsund Castle. The castle is the only privately owned royal castle in our country. The most famous lord of the castle is Gustav III, who received the castle as a godfather gift. Ekolsund Palace was Gustav III's residence during his time as Crown Prince. The opportunity to live a secluded life here made Gustav III a great lover of Ekolsund. The story of this and much more is presented during the tour.
