Welcome to an introduction to sourdough baking!
During a half day we will go through the basics of sourdough baking so that you can bake simple breads with sourdough at home. In simple terms, we will go through all the steps from setting your sourdough to baking a loaf. You will each make a dough and learn the folding method. Since the dough then wants to rest until the next day, we will instead bake bread from doughs that I have prepared. We will go through some simple variations of bread that do not require an extra rise before baking. You will be able to take the doughs you have made home to bake at home the following day.
During the course we will talk a lot about the raw material and go through how different flours affect baking. We will use locally grown flour from rye and wheat and talk about cultural cereals.
When we have baked the first loaves, we will take a well-deserved break with coffee and a sandwich. At the end of the course, you will take home bread, dough and recipes. If you want, there is also the opportunity to buy flour to take home.
Price: 1200 kr/person
Maximum number of participants: 6 people (minimum 4 people)
Minimum age: 12 years
