Persian Cooking Night - Course March 14: Learn to cook Persian food!
Info
Time
Herresta Lada on Friday, March 14 between 18.00-22.30
An evening where you can try your hand at cooking various classic dishes from the renowned Persian cuisine together with the skilled food creator Maryam.
Many cuisines have inspired us here in Sweden over the years, but one that deserves more attention is Persian cuisine!
We now have the privilege of meeting Maryam who, growing up in 1980s Iran, learned to prepare and refine a wide range of classic Persian dishes from her grandmother and other relatives. A food tradition she brought with her to Sweden and then continuously developed based on different influences and trends. Now she is passionate about sharing her cooking with curious and food-loving people in Sweden in the 2025s.
What happens during the evening
- We will meet at 18.00 for an initial presentation on the organization of the evening
- Different dishes in the menu (6) are presented and recipes are distributed to divided teams
- Maryam tells us about the ingredients and shows us the process of creating the different dishes.
- During the evening, she will of course go around and support the different food teams during their work.
- We will prepare a total of about 6 different dishes
- When the dishes are ready, we sit down and taste together
- We've set aside plenty of time for questions and reflections in the good company of like-minded foodies
- Conversations about food traditions and family togetherness in today's Iran are also looked forward to
- We help each other to clean up and tidy up before we finish
What is included in the course price
- All raw materials and equipment needed for the course are included in the price
- A copy of the recipes for the dishes we prepare
- Welcome drink in the form of traditional Persian lemon drink
- Flavored table water as a mealtime drink
