Österbo shelters are located by the dog shore along Kyrkstigen between Skekarsbo and Tärnsjö. Here, animals were taken on summer work already in the 13th century and the shelters were in use until 1942. There are two cottages where you can stay overnight, but you can also just take a break in the pleasant idyll. Nora parish owns and manages the place.
A path runs around the entire lake. If you are lucky you will get a glimpse of beavers during the walk. There is also a rowing boat that you can borrow. If you want to fish, you can get both perch and pike on the hook.
