The smallest church in the entire Uppsala diocese, not many people get a place here at the same time! It is a very charming church, where the limited space forced creative solutions - the altarpiece is at the same time the front of the pulpit.
In the church there are paintings by the 15th century artist Albertus Pictor. Although the paintings have been whitewashed, they are largely in very good condition. A unique image for Yttergran is Archbishop Jacob Ulfsson whom you see kneeling to the left of the altar. He was a power factor in Uppland in his time, archbishop for 46 years and founded, among other things, Uppsala university.
