Skokloster Castle - visit a unique, untouched Baroque castle
Skokloster Castle is one of the most well-preserved baroque castles in existence. It was built in the 17th century, when Sweden was a military superpower. The creator Carl-Gustaf Wrangel had a castle built with only the best materials and the most luxurious objects. Most of the castle remains untouched since it was built more than 350 years ago. All in all, there are about 50,000 items!
A unique castle environment
The whole environment is a magnificent experience where most people find their treasures. Take the opportunity to go on a tour where you get to see, among other things, the parade floor and the armory. The large park with avenues and fruit trees invites both lazy picnics and happy summer games.
Skokloster Castle invests a lot in children's activities, so even the younger ones appreciate the castle excursion. On the south side of the castle you will find the Paradiset playground, which is open for play all year round. There is a horse-drawn tram and children can balance on planers, hubs and other large-scale tools.
In the Castle Café you are served freshly-baked pastries, sandwiches and home-made lunches. You can choose between sitting outside in the shade of the large linden trees or inside under the arches in the room that in the 18th century was called Little kitchen.
