The Simtuna church is right next to the roaring road 70, but already when you walk over the cemetery with its resident cypresses, the calm and silence are found.
Construction of the church began in the 13th century, but many later periods have left their mark. Inside the church there are vault paintings from the 1460s by the so-called Ärentuna master.
The church is newly renovated and re-opened in 2011.
