Blacksmithing came early in Lena's life. Even as a child, she would cut out paper dolls with a small pair of gold scissors in her father's workshop, where she also got to play with tools and jewelry. Yet it wasn't until 2015 that she took her first silversmithing course. But after that weekend, she was hooked and signed up for every course she could find in silversmithing and stone setting.
Since 2020, Lena has had her own smithy on the plot at home in Skyttstennäs, Järlåsa. It is a combined workshop and shop, where she can express her creativity and create jewelry of her own design. All jewelry is handmade in Sterling silver 925 and sometimes she mixes in small details of 18K gold.
As with all fine craftsmanship, no two pieces of jewelry are exactly the same. Each piece of jewelry is unique and sometimes she enjoys seeing the perfection of what she creates. She appreciates the direct contact with her customers and she tries, if possible, to deliver specially ordered jewelry in person.
Lena sells her jewelry in the smithy, at markets and via social media. Future plans include opening a webshop.
Next door to SilberbyLenaB is the ceramics workshop. The small farm.
