Skokloster Choklad was founded in 2020, but chocolate was part of Tove's life long before that. Now she makes her own chocolate with love, knowledge and passion, all the way from exclusive cocoa beans that she roasts herself, to chocolate bars covered with hearts (bean to bar), small chocolate pieces and pralines.
Cocoa beans come from different countries on different continents. As with wine, the taste depends on the location and the type of bean grown. All are traceable, single origin cocoa beans-which are good for the farmers and the environment.
Tove always tries to use as few additives and organic ingredients as possible. In addition to her own chocolate, she uses a few selected suppliers with transparent production. In the praline fillings, she likes to use fruit and berries grown by the family themselves without artificial fertilizers and pesticides.
The nut cream is a delicious hazelnut cream with more hazelnut flavor and less sugar, which can be used both directly on the sandwich or as a luxurious dessert.
The actual production takes place in a chocolateria right on the banks of Lake Mälaren, but the shop is located in a small room at the back of Skoklosters Värdshus. You can also buy the products at selected farm shops and retailers.
In the fall of 2024, Tove started a small apple orchard, where you can bring your apples to be picked. Read more and book an appointment via Web.
