The road between Nysätra Church and Torstuna Church is a road where people have travelled since ancient times. Here Amunde and Ödgärd once lived, who "had this stone erected after Anund, their son, and made a bridge". This is the rune stone U 839, which stands by the roadside near Ryda kungsgård, a few hundred metres from Örsundaån, which was the main waterway in Viking times. The bridge Amunde and Ödgärd built no longer exists - but their rune stone keeps the memory of the lost son Anund alive.
A little further along the road stands another stone, U839, with the carving "Tolv(?) and Torfast they had the stone erected after Torbjörn, their good father. Here the stone will stand by the road. And Gillög had the memorial made for her husband."
