Övergrans church is a building that in its oldest parts was built in the 12th century. The paintings in Övergrans Church belong to the early production of the great church painter Albertus Pictor , from the early 1470s. They were whitewashed at the end of the 18th century and have been badly damaged in some places when they knocked out again in the 20th century. Other pictures are in pretty good condition. All paintings are heavily faded in color.
Included is a fine image of St. Olaf's ship with a beautiful mermaid in the waves and wild men equipped with stakes on the beach. Don't miss the face where a hole in the wall has been turned into the man's mouth. In the armoury is a Wheel of Life.
