Litslena Church is located at the intersection of Uppsalavägen and old Stockholmsvägen. It has always been a busy place and still serves as a roadside church in the summer. It is fortunate that it is so often open, as there is much to look at in the medieval church. The altar cabinet was made in Lübeck in the 1480s and shows a variety of exquisite little figures depicting the life of Jesus. In the vaults you will see beautiful paintings from the 1470s by an unknown artist. Albertus Pictor, who painted the neighboring churches in both east and west, obviously had competition!
At the western gate of the cemetery wall is a large flat stone. At the used returning soldiers in the past put themselves and tell news from the war fronts. Get up there too and make your voice heard!
