The Sandqvist family has been farming since great-grandfather Henrik Sandqvist sowed his first wheat in 1888. In the 1920s, grandmother Ester Sandqvist started raising chickens. Now a new era has begun with newly built henhouses for outdoor chickens that are fed with their own grown wheat, oats and rapeseed. The eggs are sold under the brand name Närvärpta Gårdsägg in Mälardalen.
