Grönsöö Castle offers everything you could want for a long, pleasant day out. A magnificent castle next to the water, lush and green park, good coffee and exhibitions, bathing opportunities and as the crown at work: the adorable little house in the water!
The castle was built in the beginning of the 17th century by the Swedish Parliament, Johan Skytte. The park is exceptionally well preserved with elements from the 17th century to our own time. Here you can look at, among other things Queen Kristinas lind, planted in 1623, which is located on the top ten for old European park winds.
At Grönsöö, apples are grown, perhaps you have tasted their praised Grönsöömust which is sold on liquor store. You can also buy the apples at the castle's apple market every autumn.
Every year an exhibition about the castle's history is shown in Vagnstallet.
