Fjärdhundra was created as a station community by the railway between Enköping and Heby / Runhällen. The railway has been closed for a long time, and today Fjärdhundra is a community on road 70 between Enköping and Sala.
Fjärdhundra visible from afar, thanks to the silo rising across the plain Marstallen. There, the grain is taken care of and delivered by the area's farmers. At the entrance to the community is located Fjärdhundra bath, the popular outdoor pool.
In the middle of the village is the interior design shop Hanna's furniture & furnishings. Just outside the community in the village of Forsby is the nice café Forsby kvarn café.
