A lake reborn! If you came to Dragmansbosjön in 2018, you would have seen only a few small puddles in overgrown land. Today it is a large open water mirror, frogs are croaking and bird life is increasing. It's all thanks to the Dragmansbosjön Wetland Association, which decided to restore the lake to the way it looked before it was drained in the early 1900s.
Vegetation has been removed and ditches have been filled in to keep the water in. A barbecue area has been built and the lake has become something of a new gathering place - not least in winter when it is possible to skate on the lake. Grey herons have been sighted from the bird tower.
The work to restore the lake is still ongoing, so it just keeps getting better and better. Nature takes back!
