Äsåsen is a quiet and peaceful place high above the agricultural area. Here and there are lookout points with wide views of the landscape. There are several ancient burial fields on the ridge, including a large burial mound. The people during the Iron Age often buried their dead in high and open locations where the graves could be seen far and wide.
A nice hiking trail of 2.4 km helps you discover the ridge, up on the crest it follows a path that has been used for several millennia. The loop is also part of Upplandsleden. The dry ridges were one of the ancient highways.
There are several prepared rest areas, so don't forget the coffee basket! Also make a visit to Härnevi plant nursery right next door. Besides plants of all kinds, there is also a fully stocked glass box.
